The Banning Museum is seeking volunteers and will host two Get to Know Us receptions on Friday, February 24 or Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The receptions will be held in the conference room at the Banning Museum, 401 East “M” Street, Wilmington, CA 90744. Volunteers at the Banning Museum attend a training class to gain the background necessary to offer public tours and special group tours of the interior of the Museum, Stagecoach Barn and grounds. The Banning Museum is happy to be one of more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to military personnel and their families this summer in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and the Department of Defense. The program provides families an opportunity to enjoy the nation’s cultural heritage and learn more about their new communities after a military move.
