Circa 1890 white porcelain plate decorated with a hunting dog and bird, made in Limoges, France. Part of a twelve piece set, it was imported by Hinrich’s& Co. New York and is stamped with a French registration mark. Hunting sets such as this one were used when serving game or could be merely decorative. Other motifs in this set are wild boars, birds and weasels.
