The Banning Museum - Furniture

Late 19th century steer horn chair upholstered in cow hide. 40 horns Were used to make the arms, legs, backrest and seat support. The land around the Banning mansion was once a ranch, and to Phineas Banning’s sons a chair such as this would have been a symbol of the vanishing west.
