Phineas Banning Birthday Celebration
Each year the Friends of Banning Museum commemorates the birthday of Phineas Banning, who played a key role in developing the world-renowned Port of Los Angeles.
On August 19, 2010 his birthday was celebrated with a live concert on the back lawn of the Banning Museum. The concert included dinner, wine, and reserved seating and VIP gated parking. Those who wished to attend the concert only, brought their own dinner, blanket or chair and enjoyed a picnic inside the gates on the lawn. This year the concert will return to the historic front porch!
