The Banning Museum

Join us on August 19, 2017 when we will celebrate the birthday of the “Father of the Los Angeles Harbor,” Phineas Banning. In the spirit of the Rancho-period of the Banning property, guests will be treated to a Western-themed evening with live music provided by country band, “JB and The Big Circle Riders”, free line dance instruction, dancing and a good old fashioned barbecue buffet provided by Southland favorite, “The Outdoor Grill.”

We will also present the Phineas Banning Entrepreneurial Spirit Award to Amy Grat, CEO of International Trade Education Programs (ITEP). ITEP prepares students for a better life. Through partnerships with ports, transportation, logistics and related industries, ITEP introduces high school students to diverse career opportunities in high growth job sectors. Amy’s passion and  ultimate commitment to assisting and guiding our local youth shows in everything she does. We could not be more honored to recognize her with this year’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.

A huge debt of gratitude to sponsors of this year’s Birthday Celebration. Thank you!
