Tea & Tunes – An Afternoon of Elegance and Style Our 8th Annual Tea & Tunes was held February 9, 2013, a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Guests enjoyed a selection of teas and an elegant light luncheon and were able to tour The Banning Museum. Lovely and amazing string music by local artist Maestra Valerie Geller graced the event. Judging from the gorgeous hats and finery many of our guests were wearing, old fashioned elegance truly never goes out of style! Even sporadic rain showers couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of over 4,000 visitors for the Victorian Christmas Open House weekend. According to some, the rain actually enhanced the event, making it feel even more like Christmas. All of the holiday festivities went on without a hitch. Folks waiting in line for the house tour were entertained by the Yesteryears Dance Troupe and the West High School awarding-winning choir. Music filled the air as Santa greeted the little ones. There will be a question and answer session after the lecture along with a walk-through of the Museum’s Victorian Mourning Exhibition.
