The Banning Museum is seeking volunteers and will host two Get to Know Us receptions on Friday, February 7, 2014 and Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The receptions will be held in the conference room at the Banning Museum, 401 East “M” Street, Wilmington, CA 90744. Volunteers at the Banning Museum attend a training class to gain the background necessary to offer public tours and special group tours of the interior of the Museum, Stagecoach Barn and grounds. Join us as we kick off the mansion’s 150th Anniversary with  our 9th Annual Tea & Tunes special event. This years’ theme will be Paris in honor of Mary Banning Norris who spent 30 years living in Paris, France. Come celebrate Valentine’s Day with champagne, soft Parisian tunes, an elegant light luncheon and a special selection of teas. You will also be treated to complimentary tours of the Museum, the Improbable Gateway Exhibition and an unique exhibit created especially for this event, “Seven Layers of Modesty” that will display Victorian era lingerie.
