Creating Banning Park

Third in the Keeping History Alive Series, “Creating Banning Park” will be presented by Museum Director, Michael Sanborn in the Historic Banning Barn on Saturday, March 7 at 11 am. Historic Banning Park was established in 1928.
After years of negotiations trying to establish a public park for the City of Wilmington, the Banning Family made the decision to let their property become a historic location open to everyone. Please come and enjoy this unique and fascinating story of stewardship that lead to the creation of Banning Park.
