Colin Mahoney is a retired electronics engineer who spent 45 years building space instruments for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. Some of his instruments have landed on the moon and on Mars, and some have orbited the Earth, Jupiter and Saturn.
While on a JPL business trip in 1980, he purchased his first glass paperweight. Several years later he became involved in a local Paperweight Collectors Association and later the National PCA. He has authored two books on glass paperweights.
